The lecture deals with content from the field of renewable energies and their conversion. The combustion of renewable fuels, electrolysis and catalysis of chemical base materials, wind and water power as well as the storage possibilities of renewably generated energy are discussed in selected topics.

ALTERNATIVE DRIVES
Students are familiar with the requirements placed on the drivetrain as a result of the respective driving situation. Students are familiar with the interaction of mechanical and electronic systems in the vehicle. They will be able to assess the effects of conventional and alternative drive concepts on economic efficiency, mobility, resources and the environment. They can select the drive architecture adapted to the respective requirement profile and can assess the technical feasibility.
